Strautniekas’s work moves between editorial, cultural and commercial fields, from book, music and film covers to festival posters and animated projects. He has developed a visual language shaped by Film Noir, retrofuturism and a quiet sense of cinematic tension.

His illustrations often use muted palettes, soft tonal shifts and long shadows to create minimal yet layered scenes, where atmosphere carries as much weight as the idea itself. He approaches each commission as a personal work, looking for angles that move beyond familiar solutions. This has led to collaborations with global brands, cultural institutions and major international publications, alongside recognition from ADC Awards, D&AD, Brand Impact Awards, Global Healthcare Illustration Awards and the World Illustration Awards.
