Jānis Andžāns is a Latvian illustrator whose practice spans illustration, art direction, branding, and animation. His interest in drawing began at an early age and gradually developed into a sustained engagement with visual storytelling. He studied at Riga Design High School, the Art Academy of Latvia, and the École Régionale des Beaux-Arts de Saint-Étienne, where he refined his visual language and conceptual approach.

Working as a freelance illustrator, Andžāns focuses on translating complex ideas into bold, accessible, and visually engaging compositions. He has collaborated with a wide range of international clients, including Apple, Google, Uber, Spotify, Ford, and the NHL. Across these projects, he consistently explores ways to communicate ideas with clarity, wit, and visual impact, adapting his style to different contexts while maintaining a distinctive voice.
