Evelina Paukštytė

b. 1980
Lithuania
Guided by personal mythology, inner observation and a search for order within the apparent chaos of the world, Paukštytė deceptively simple compositions. Her early compositions were shaped by a desire for control and structure, while later work opened toward intuition, richer imagery and a willingness to let uncertainty enter the image.
Paukštytė explores the human condition through the city, social systems, constructed spaces, and private memory. Shaped by childhood games of imaginary cities, Lithuanian folk art, and a disciplined studio routine, her visual language treats art as both self-analysis and world-making.
Working across graphic art, painting, illustration, and ceramics, she has presented numerous exhibitions and received the Juozas Zikaras Prize, a significant Lithuanian art award, alongside two Art Vilnius Audience Select Artist awards from the Baltic region’s leading contemporary art fair.
