Antanas Dubra

b. 1987
Lithuania
Over the past fifteen years, Dubra has worked across illustration, scenography, animation, and street art, developing a language that bridges drawing, performance, and spatial storytelling. He is known for his playful mix of humour, surrealism, and poetic absurdity, blending hand-drawn precision with experimental form.
Dubra’s practice is deeply connected to street culture and to the atmosphere of major Lithuanian theatre plays, where his drawings often transform into costumes, sets, and three-dimensional environments.
A recipient of the Golden Stage Cross Young Artist Award, one of Lithuania’s highest theatre honours, Dubra continues to explore how images inhabit physical and emotional space, shaping immersive worlds that balance irony, empathy, and imagination.
