Over the past decade, Kiudulaitė has moved between making books, lecturing, and leading workshops for children, educators, librarians, and art students. She has developed a lecture series on visual literacy, and her books and illustrations have received recognition in Lithuania and internationally, including honours from the IBBY Honour List. Kiudulaitė’s work has appeared at literary festivals, exhibitions, and educational events across Europe, the United States, and Asia.
Thematically, her work navigates the quieter rhythms of emotional development, idiosyncratic friendships, and gentle absurdity through deeply expressive, contrast-rich compositions.Her breakout debut, Happiness is a Fox, commanded immediate international attention, securing a coveted place at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition and earning top honours at the Nami Concours. Her titles have now been translated into over twenty languages.
