Ūla Šveikauskaitė

b. 1994
Lithuania
Šveikauskaitė’s illustrations are shaped by movement, editorial thinking, and a visual sensitivity that blends traditional drawing with digital technology. After years spent in Vienna and Portugal, her work carries a quiet cosmopolitan quality, balancing bright and muted colour, precise composition, and a nostalgic atmosphere.
She creates illustrations for books, magazines, advertising, and cultural organisations, including work for internationally recognised publications and editorial clients. Her graphic novel illustrations for Runaways: The Sea Route to the USA build an engaging visual narrative around the first wave of Lithuanian migration to the United States in the twentieth century. The book received several distinctions from IBBY and Lithuania’s Book of the Year competition.
