Reinis Pētersons is a Latvian multimedia artist and illustrator active internationally since 2000. With a background in classical painting and visual communication, his practice spans illustration, animation, stage design, web art, and experimental video.
He has illustrated over 45 books, worked as a stage designer at the Latvian Puppet Theatre since 2010, and created the internationally screened animated short Ursus (2011).
Since 2024, his work has shifted toward analog video and glitch-based processes, using vintage broadcast technology to construct image systems rooted in physical signal behavior. His works have been exhibited internationally.
