Eiko Ojala

b. 1982
Estonia
Ojala’s illustration practice is defined by reduction, precision, and a striking sense of spatial depth. Working digitally but drawing every detail by hand, he creates images that resemble layered paper-cut compositions, shaped through light, shadow, and carefully balanced form.
His visual language is minimalist without feeling cold, using simple elements to carry strong conceptual weight. Each image is built by removing what is unnecessary until the idea appears in its clearest form. The result is a refined and memorable body of work that has placed him among the most recognisable Estonian illustrators on the international contemporary illustration scene.
